Application and PIN payment
#1 What is the PIN
It's the payment that lets you fill out the application form. Without it you can't apply. With a single payment you can apply to a maximum of two programs: a main choice and an optional one. Decide before paying whether you want one option or two.
#2 How much it costs
It depends on your Sisbén group and whether you choose one or two options, and it changes every term. Check your group on the Sisbén website before paying: if you pay less than what you owe, your application gets cancelled.
#3 How to pay it
It's paid on UIS's sales platform. Register with your own information, not your parents'. Then look for the application service that matches your Sisbén group and your number of options. You can pay online through PSE, even with Nequi, or download a receipt and pay it at the bank.
#4 If you pay at the bank
Only pay at the banks listed on the receipt. A payment at another bank won't be recorded. If someone tells you only Banco Popular works, that information is outdated.
#5 Doesn't your payment show up?
Online payments usually show up the next business day, and during busy periods it can take up to two days. If more than two business days pass and it still doesn't show up, email inscripciones@uis.edu.co with your receipt. Email is better than calling because it leaves a written record.
#6 No refunds
The PIN is not refunded for any reason and can't be used for another term. If you pay and don't apply, you lose the money.
#7 If the Oracle tells you you won't make it
Apply anyway. The Oracle gives you guidance, but only the official process decides who gets in. If you already paid and don't apply, you lose the money and the chance.
#8 If you pass in both options
You get placed in the main option. Switching to the optional one isn't automatic and depends on whether there are seats left. For that, email inscripciones@uis.edu.co.
